Community Assembly of Salisbury
Serving, supporting and protecting our local community
About Us
The Community Assembly of Salisbury is located in the southeast of Wiltshire, near the edge of Salisbury Plain. Salisbury Cathedral was formerly north of the city at Old Sarum. Following the cathedral's relocation, a settlement grew up around it which received a city charter in 1227 as New Sarum, which continued to be its official name until 2009. Salisbury has 23 Parishes and there are another 21 in the surrounding area.

Community Assemblies are made up of residents concerned about a lack of democratic process at a local and national level, dedicated to preserving and asserting our inalienable rights and obligations to ourselves, the Earth and future generations.
